Community Partner Spotlight: PHYT For Function

At Run the Land, we are all about the local communityβ€”the routes we run, the races we crush, and the people who keep us moving. While we work with a wide network of local recovery partners to support our runners, today we want to highlight our friends over at PHYT For Function.

The People Behind the Movement

If you’ve spent any time at a Cleveland race or local trailhead, you probably know Cara and Phil. As the owners of PHYT, they have become staples in the Cleveland fitness and wellness community. We love having them as a resource because they truly "get" it - they understand the grit it takes to run this city and the importance of staying durable through every season.

Their approach isn't just about fixing a problem; it’s about understanding the athlete and helping you stay consistent.

Meet the Team: Dr. Alex Rechner

We’re also excited to share that Dr. Alex is now seeing patients at PHYT’s Cleveland and Fairview Park locations. She is a fantastic addition to their team and specializes in working with:

  • Distance runners navigating high-mileage soreness.

  • Soccer and Pilates/Yoga athletes looking for better functional mobility.

  • Active adults dealing with "nagging" issuesβ€”like those tight hips or calf aches that show up during a run and just won't fully clear up.

April Community Offer

To help our Run the Land crew stay healthy as the weather finally warms up, PHYT is offering a $75 initial evaluation and treatment for new patients this month.

This is a full session to analyze how you move, treat what’s bothering you, and give you a clear plan so you aren’t just guessing about your recovery.

Support Local. Run Local.

We are proud to have PHYT For Function as part of our local recovery network. Whether you see them at an event or visit them at one of their clinics, you know you’re getting expert care from people who care about Cleveland.

Get Started with PHYT:

Move well. Stay consistent. Run the Land.
